The reason I joined media was for my passion for making videos. I hoped to have lots of fun making projects about what I loved to do. Now I love media because of everything it has taught me.
In fourth grade I started making videos with me friends such as movie trailers, short films, etc. I loved doing it and I started posting my videos on YouTube. I showed to some older friends and they talked about the media class. When it came around to electives I told everyone about it. I talked so some other friends that knew about the program and they told me it was too much work,
so I got discouraged. Then my friend Dylan brought up media a few months later and I decided it would be worth it.
I decided that I loved doing media and it was worth the work. I hoped to do all the work because I would enjoy doing it. I thought it would be really fun and it wouldn't seem like much work because it would be fun. Although when I got into media I realized it was lots of work and it seemed like that too. I also thought that projects wouldn't take much work like I was used too, but again I was proven wrong.
Media has taught me a over the first two quarters. For example I was used to easy editing that took barely any effort. I also didn't know how important camera angles were. In addition I didn't know how to work expensive cameras. Media has taught how to do all of this and much more.
I don't know if I'm going back to media yet. I feel that it is too early to decide yet. I love media and all of its advantages. Although it is a lot of work and you give up a lot of holidays. But like I said in the beginning this is what I signed up for. And at first I didn't want to joint but in the end it was all worth it.
In conclusion media lets me express what I love and I have to do work on what is fun to me. In all media is fun but there is a lot of work that follows with it. Media has taught me so much and I don't know yet but I think I'm going to join next year.
