Hey guys so Kallen and I's project has been going ok but theres still a lot to be done. We started transcribing our first interview which is a leap in the right direction. We are trying to get our second and third interviews scheduled but the people either won't respond or they will only do it in a week or two. We haven't started editing but I don't think were that far behind.
Our first interview went good, we did it with Mel Rapozo. He answered the questions long and detailed so it so little hard to transcribe. Furthermore everything else went good we didn't have to redo anything which made us look good in front of Mel. I've been learning to transcribe, its easy but you have to type fast.
We were going to try interview were Ross Kagawa, and The Humane Society. Unfortunately Ross Kagawa wouldn't answer and The Humane Society said they would call us back but they didn't. We also tried to schedule an interview with Mason Chock but he told us to call him back after school and then he wouldn't answer. Scheduling interviews is nerve-wracking because you don't want to mess up your speech because you will seem unprofessional.
Editing seems hard, Kallen has taught me a few things but its still confusing. Just starting a new project takes multiple steps which is not what I'm used to. Im used to iMovie which is very simple, and I've used it for many years which makes it hard to branch out to other editors. I can't wait to learn final cut pro though.
In conclusion our project is going good but like I said theres plenty of work to be done. Im sure we will get it on time because Kallen seems like he uses his time wisely which is a good influence to me. I really think that are project is going to turn out good, we have an interview done and transcribed and i'm learning to edit.
