Recently New York filmmaker Casey Neistat made a cool viral video. It is called Snowboarding with NYPD. Bassically what he did was snowboard from a cable towed from a jeep. Check it out!
I really like this video! First of all I think that the song that he used went very well with the video. I also really like the use of the drone in this movie. To me it gives a good perspective on the surroundings. I also think this movie has a really good plot. He found something creative to do with something that most people don't like in New York. Hope you enjoyed it! Bye!
Hey guys! For this week's blog I am going to talk about my favorite youtuber. My favorite youtuber is Devinsupertramp. The first reason is because his videos are exciting to watch. My second reason is because he spends a lot of work on his videos. My third reason is because his shot angles and editing is very good.
Devins videos are very exciting to watch! He goes to an interesting spot in the world and he records himself doing whatever it is he and his team is doing. One example of this is he went to hawaii and he went to cool cliff jumping spots. He recorded him and his team jumping off of them. Devins team and him are very brave so they do some pretty cool stunts.
Devin spends lots of time and money making his videos! First off all he has to spend the money to travel which I assume is a lot. He also edits his videos very well and I can tell they took a lot of time. He also uses a lot of cameras which probably takes a lot of time to import. In addition he uploads every monday.
Devins editing and shot angles are very good! Like I said he uses lots of cameras. For his primary he uses a RED camera which costs 70,000 dollars with a glidecam. He also makes his team all use GoPros. He also has very good introductions to his videos as well as outros. He also uses music to match his videos.
Devin makes really cool videos! His videos are very exciting, he spends lots of time and money, and his shot angles and editing is very good. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you next week! Bye!
Hey guys! For this week's blog I'm going to talk about a movie I recently saw called The Walk.
This movie had some very cool angles that captured my attention to feel like I was going through everything the guy was. They had an angle where they were very high up filming next to a wire I really wondered how they got this shot. They had very good sequences in this movie. They also did in an interesting way where they had the main actor narrate the whole thing. The even cooler part about this movie is it's based on a true story! In conclusion The Walk was a very well filmed movie.
Hey guys! For this week's blog I'm going to talk about our 3rd STN practice that we did Monday. One thing that we did good on was getting a good plot down. One thing that we did bad on was creating the format of a movie trailer. I would also like to be on the short film team for crazy 8’s.
So for this practice we had a pretty good plot that fit the theme well in my opinion. Our plot was basically about me vs Kirra in a soccer match. Kirra scores one goal and there is 30 seconds left in the match. After that I score a goal. We used a variety of shots to show this which made it look cool. Then the referee adds 5 minutes to the clock representing overtime.
One thing that I would say we failed at was getting the movie trailer format. This has happened before on our first practice but on our second we fixed it. Basically what happened was we made it more like a short film for example we put it in a logical order instead of using random shots. This is something that should be easily fixed because we've had multiple reminders.
For crazy 8’s I want to be on the movie trailer team. This is because I feel like I have more experience in it. I also am more interested in it then anchoring. (Sorry this is a short paragraph)
In conclusion most practices for STN have went well. We still have a little bit to work on but overall we are basically ready. I can't wait to go to STN and I'm feeling confident that we will do well.
Hey guys for this week's free blog I'm going to be talking about a movie that most of you have probably seen. STAR WARS! I was really looking forward to seeing this movie because it's been so long since the last ones. Disney really outdid themselves this time. The time period was about as far apart from the originals as it actually was in real life. I really liked the plot they kept the great theme of the old stories that we love. Everything from the camera angles to the acting was amazing. In conclusion the new Star Wars is a great movie.
Hey guys for this week's blog I am going to be talking about how I met my goals or not for second quarter. I will also be talking about 3 new goals for this new quarter.
My first goal was to get my blogs done on time, I did get my blogs done on time for second quarter. My second goal was to get finished with our project on time, me and Kallen finished it on time although it was cut down to the wire. My third goal was to learn to edit, I did do some editing but not as much as I had hoped.
Now that that is out of the way, my first goal for third quarter is to work on inside scoops earlier. Last quarter we almost didn't finish inside scoops on time. We had to record them over 3 times because most of the time we weren't recording. We also had lots of time that we could of been working on it but we didn't.
My second goal is to finish my project even earlier so I can make revisions. Revisions are important because it will make your project way better by just adding little things. Last quarter me and Kallen had no time to make revisions.
I also want to learn more advanced ways of editing. Last quarter I didn't do much editing at all. I really want to learn because that is one of the most important things about making videos. In conclusion I have lots of goals to work on this quarter.
My name is Erik I am currently in 6th grade. In my free time I like getting videos of waves, and putting them together to make edits. I also like taking pictures of waves.
